Before Purchasing a Boat
Before purchasing a boat, you will likely want to know the cost of delivery, shipping terms, and other important details. We recommend contacting us before making your purchase to get all your questions answered. To provide you with the best shipping options, please provide a brief description of the boat, including its size, height, width, etc. If you do not have the exact dimensions, please indicate that the provided data may not be entirely accurate.
Ro-Ro Service
The Ro-Ro (Roll-on, Roll-off) service is one of the most popular methods for boat transportation. If your boat is on a trailer and too large to fit into a container, the Ro-Ro service is ideal. The boat will be simply pulled onto the deck and securely fastened. Ro-Ro is the safest and most cost-effective method for transporting boats.
Lo-Lo Service
The Lo-Lo (Lift-on, Lift-off) service is designed for larger boats that cannot be transported using the Ro-Ro service. This method is more expensive because it requires a crane for loading and unloading the boat.
Container Shipping
If your boat is 7.8 feet wide or narrower, it can be transported in a container. If the boat’s trailer width exceeds 7.8 feet, the axles are removed, packed, and loaded with the boat. Container shipping is the most economical method of transport.
Special Machinery Delivery Methods
We offer several methods for the delivery of special machinery:
Container Shipping
If the dimensions of the machinery allow for safe loading into a container, certain components may be dismantled to facilitate container shipping. These dismantled components are safely packed and loaded into the container along with the rest of the consignment. Container shipping, when feasible, is the most economical method.
Ro-Ro Service
For machinery that can be driven or brought on board a ship on a special trailer, the Ro-Ro (Roll-on, Roll-off) service is ideal. This method does not require a special transportation frame and is suitable for vehicles that can ride or be easily loaded onto the deck.
Lo-Lo Service
For vehicles that exceed the size permitted for Ro-Ro shipment or lack a special trailer, the Lo-Lo (Lift-on, Lift-off) service is required. This method involves the use of cranes for loading and unloading, making it more expensive due to the additional costs associated with crane operations.
